Someone had told me that many places in Peru accept USD (United States Dollars) and there are ATM machines available in most active locations. I am wondering if this is the same for GBP. Do they accept GBP or does it have to be exchanged?
They do not accept GBP, no. And it is almost always better to exchange GBP for their local currency as using USD in certain places comes at a higher cost so you end up paying more.

I guess this makes sense. Why would they want people coming there and using nothing but USD? It makes sense to try and earn extra off the use of that currency. I just had no idea countries did something like this.
