I know that Kosovo is not at the top of most people's travel lists because of safety concerns. I know they had a lot of political conflict with Serbia 10 or more years ago. I am wondering if that is still currently going on or if there are issues with that. It seems like the area is highly recommended for adventurous tourists but most travel safety sites rate them poorly.
There is always tension but almost never anything a tourist would have to worry about. You just have to stick to safer zones. As of now, there is an agreement in place between Serbia and Kosovo dealing with travel for locals which has made things between the nations a bit softer.

I didn't even hear about this! I must not have been paying attention or it just wasn't something a lot of people were talking about. This is interesting though! I am going to look into it a bit more. This is a move in the right direction I think.
