I would like to plan for a 2023 trip to Italy with my sister. We used to go every other year but have not gone for a while. We have been to a lot of areas but have yet to go to Naples or Venice. We only do 5-day trips usually. Which area would be better for this? Naples or Venice?

Venice is almost always crowded with tourists and for this reason, I would not recommend it for a short stay as you may miss out on a lot of things just waiting around. I would opt for Naples. You won't have as many people to compete with for tours, restaurant setting, etc. and the weather, IMO, tends to be nicer.

Whilst I normally don't fuss over crowded spaces, that would suck to be spending a lot of time waiting! Thanks for letting me know about this. I will look into Naples more and see what my sister thinks.
