I know someone who will be going to China in the near future for work-related things. He usually flies out from the UK twice a year but has not gone since early 2020. I keep seeing all sorts of lockdowns happening and I am worried he may get trapped there for months. It seems a bit risky to go which is why I am shocked his boss is telling him he has to go.
Considering they are still doing harsh lockdowns, it is a risk. I think that if he were to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, he could very well be stuck there. They are panic-locking people in businesses and other buildings, sometimes for days.
That is what worries me! I really think he should avoid it for the time being. I don't think it is a good idea, especially because he has family here. I am going to try to talk him out of it. Thanks!
